CAVS Ways to Wellness supports residents in Castle Point, Rayleigh and Rochford and aims to improve your health and wellbeing by linking you to suitable services and opportunities available in your community. During COVID and Lockdown CAVS services have adapted to meet the needs of the community.

Our service offers the opportunity for you to have an informal discussion around your current circumstances which enables us to point you in the direction of local help or support options including:

  • Do you know someone that is living in poverty and needs support
  • Information on local food banks
  • Furloughed/made redundant and in need of support
  • Help with collecting prescriptions
  • Support with how to keep active during lock down
  • Receive a weekly call from the team – reducing loneliness and Isolation
  • Would like to volunteer
  • Health support- emotional and physical
  • Lifestyle changes
  • Community transport
  • Carers services
  • Family Support – for families with children aged 0-19 or 25 with SEND.
  • Information of local services that deliver shopping
  • Help with online shopping
  • No access to a computer or internet and require information, support and advice
  • Require additional support/ home adaptations and don’t know who to ask
  • Anxiety
  • Bereavement
  • Access to CAVS Befriending service
  • Access to Buddy Up- since COVID Anxious to go out, even for a walk or to the shops.
  • Access to PCN- Wellbeing Link Coordinators – Social Prescribers liked to GP practices
