Contacting Citizens Advice

There are a number of other ways people can continue to get advice from Citizens Advice in Castle Point & Rochford during this time:

  • Information is available 24 hours a day www.citizensadvice.org.uk
  • General advice will be given via our Adviceline on 0300 330 2101. This is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and Saturday mornings until 12noon.
  • Anyone seeking support to make a new claim for Universal Credit can call free the Universal Credit Help to Claim line on 0800 1448444.
  • Face to face in Canvey Job Centre on a Tuesday weekly, appointments can be booked via the Job Centre
  • The Money Adviceline number 01277 358082 for anyone seeking support with debts or financial issues. This is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

  • People looking for advice on consumer issues (e.g. issues related to products or services you’ve purchased) can contact the Citizens Advice consumer helpline on 0808 223 1133 or chat online to an advisor on our website.
  • Residents struggling with their energy bills can access a range of support by calling 0300 3033 789 or via our Citizens Advice Warm Homes Essex website https://www.warmhomesessex.org.uk/
