Trust Links will be continuing with services through second lockdown!

Trust Links is pleased to let everyone know that we will continue to deliver face to face services as we have over the last few months, alongside our digital and telephone support offer. Our offer comes under the category of ‘support groups’, which are permitted with a maximum capacity of 15 participants. We have worked hard to ensure COVID risk assessments are in place and adhered to across our projects including social distancing, sanitising gel being used by all, and the delivery of much of our provision outdoors wherever possible in our Growing Together gardens. This is all subject to change if government guidance changes again.

The support that Trust Links provides has never been more needed. We are delighted that it has been recognised that ‘mutual aid, therapy and other forms of support’ have been recognised as essential for sustaining and improving mental health and wellbeing during what will be a very difficult few weeks and months ahead. We are therefore pleased to able to continue to deliver the following:

  • Growing Together in Westcliff, Shoeburyness, Rochford and Thundersley will be delivered in 2 hour sessions for limited numbers of people, complemented by telephone support and Zoom socials for members; we are open for referrals and self-referrals
  • REACH Wellbeing Hub will continue to facilitate Zoom peer support groups, telephone support, assessments and reviews both over the telephone and face to face at our sites and in community venues; the Hub is the first port of call for anyone with a mental health issue in Southend, Castle Point and Rochford and links in with a wide range of other agencies
  • REACH Recovery College will deliver both online and face to face courses and workshops to support mental health, wellbeing and resilience; our online learning platform now enables students to access learning where and when it suits them
  • Carers support as part of the Southend Carers Hub includes telephone and face to face person-centred counselling, telephone listening support and peer support online, on the telephone and in person; additional COVID funding has enabled us to provide additional out of hours telephone counselling for unpaid carers
  • Talking Together is a COVID response project recruiting and training volunteers to provide telephone befriending for people who are isolated and struggling with their mental health; mental health awareness training is provided for individuals, businesses and community groups for free via Zoom
  • OAK Club and Working Together are new projects supporting adults with mild to moderate mental health issues to progress towards employment, whether they have been out of work for a long time or recently lost their job; referrals are encouraged now, as places are limited on these programmes which are delivered through face to face and online learning, practical activities to boost confidence and self-esteem, and wellbeing and holistic support
  • Children, young people and families can continue to access the excellent Blooming Well activities online, and Youth Links will continue to meet on Wednesdays at Growing Together Westcliff as a youth peer support group
  • Keep an eye out for more livestreaming, inspirational and wellbeing resources via Trust Links Live and Trust Links Ltd on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
