It’s flu season again and this year, it’s more important than ever, to protect yourself and your loved ones by getting your Flu Jab. Some people with a learning disability can get very ill if they get flu. The best way to avoid flu is to get a free flu jab. You can have the flu jab at your GP surgery. Or you can have the flu jab at a pharmacy.
If you are scared of needles, tell the nurse. You may be able to have the vaccine as a nose spray instead. More information about protecting yourself from flu is available here.
Dr Taz Syed spoke to Joanne via Zoom to help to explain how you can go about getting your Flu Jab and what you can expect when you go along to your doctor’s to have the it.Please watch the video below and then share it, so we can get this important message out to as many people as possible.
