June 3, 2025Rochford District Council has recently elected its new Chairman, Councillor Mrs Jo McPherson and RRAVS are delighted to have been selected to support her during her year in office.
Cllr McPherson is a passionate and dedicated supporter of the voluntary and community sector and is looking forward to engaging with many organisations over the next 12 months.
Her focus on two key areas of men’s mental health and youth mental health reflects issues that are relevant to the residents of the Rochford District and shows her commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of our neighbourhoods and supporting grassroots organisations to deliver the support where needed.
Councillor McPherson added:
“With the support from RRAVS, I aim to meet as many voluntary groups as possible. Our voluntary sector is vital to the community, providing clubs, activities and essential services that greatly benefit our residents. The dedication of volunteers deserves recognition, and I hope to promote and showcase their work. Additionally, I aim to encourage greater community involvement in volunteering”
