Rochford District Council is pleased to promote a free gas boiler servicing scheme delivered by our managing agents Happy Energy Solutions Ltd, in partnership with the Gas Safe Charity and foundations under the HEAT Essex Programme.  This offer supports eligible Essex homeowners to ensure their gas boilers are serviced and safe, which aligns well with our energy efficiency and health improvement objectives.

To access a free gas boiler service, residents must:

• Be a homeowner
• Have a gas boiler that has not been serviced in the last 12 months
• And meet at least one of the following criteria:
• Living in a low-income household (under £31,000 per year or in receipt of a means-tested benefit)
• Have a disability / long term health problem

Priority will be given to applications from residents over the age of 65 years.  Funding is limited and applications must be made before 19th September 2025.

If a boiler is found to be unsafe, we will work with the resident to explore options for repair/ replacement support, helping them remain safe, warm, and well at home.
