The Winter Essex ActivAte (HAF) programme programme is funded by the Department for Education.  The programme offers free holiday activity places for children eligible for Income-Related Free School Meals (FSM). Families will receive a voucher via email from Holiday Activities, which includes a booking link for up to 8 sessions during the winter holidays.

In addition to FSM places, 15% of funding is reserved for discretionary referrals. If you support families experiencing food poverty, domestic violence, or isolation during the holidays, you can refer them using our online form. Once approved, we’ll send a voucher directly to the parent/carer.

Key dates:

• Referral form opens: 10th November (The link will be shared ahead of this date)
• Vouchers sent out: 19th November
  (Note: FSM families will receive vouchers 5 days earlier)

Please ensure referrals are made with the family’s agreement and that they are committed to attending the sessions, as places are limited.
