Rochford District Council will be collaborating with Essex County Council, Better Housing Better Health and NEF, for the ECO4 and GBIS grants. (which open on 7th May 2024)

Applications will need to meet a criterion for example, what type of home, the EPC rating (below a D) and subject to eligibility of the resident, such as financial and or health. (*Health was not included in other grants)

As the ECO4 and GBIS will be opening soon, residents are encouraged to contact Better Housing Better Health for assistance with ECO4/GBIS funding application  Make a Referral – Better Housing Better Health (bhbh.org.uk) (complete the referral form, email or telephone them on 0800 107 0044 (Monday to Friday, 9:00-17:00, excluding bank holidays) bhbh@nef.org.uk as soon as possible, as they will be inundated after May 7th 2024, they also provide energy-switching advice, fuel vouchers and small grants, and the resident will be first on the list for the ECO4 and GBIS assessments.

BHBH have wonderful customer care, even if the resident is ineligible for the grant, they have follow up services to see what else can be done to help.

Essex County Council are looking into the possibility to insulate mobile homes with the ECO4 grant, however this depends on the pitch of the roof, and the cost to not outweigh the funds that the energy provider offers; therefore, residents should contact BHBH to see what help can be given, as BHBH have other resources available.
