Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS) has re-launched a campaign to promote the Children’s Health Matters guide, updated with new information for winter 2022/23.
The free guide was co-designed with local parents and is packed with expert advice and guidance on what to do when children are unwell with common childhood illnesses. It explains how to treat children at home, when to see a GP or call 111, and when symptoms are more serious and you should seek emergency help.
Your help to share the guide with families with young children in Essex would be really appreciated. Attached is a communications toolkit which contains all the resources you’ll need. You could:
· Display the Children’s Health Matters poster. The poster includes a QR code that links to an online version of the guide
· Share details of the guide in newsletters, bulletins or via social media with a link to the ICS website Children’s Health Matters section
· Promote the guide to colleagues and to your friends and family
If you are a service provider and would like printed copies of the guide to share directly with families who use your service please email Msepartnership.comms@nhs.net and put “Children’s Health Matters guide” in the subject line.
