South East Essex Mental Health Partnership Forum

Georgina Beadon and Simone Longley invite you to join them for a special edition of the South East Essex Mental Health Partnership Forum which will be focusing on work specifically surround and supporting BAME groups.

Wednesday  27 January 2021 2:00 – 4:00pm

A calendar invite is attached below.

As you may be aware, COVID-19 has disproportionately affected those from BAME groups. Additionally, people from BAME groups also experience health inequalities in accessing quality treatment for mental health and other needs. We hope you can make it to this important event to ensure that we all go beyond what we are currently offering as a system to BAME peoples and ensure that we are challenging health injustices wherever we witness them.

Speakers booked so far include:

Leila Francis- Chief Nursing Officer’s Black and Minority Ethnic Strategic Advisory Group- MID Essex CCG
David Uzosike- Interim Chair BAME Network EPUT
Gary Brisco- Equality Advisor with EPUT

If you offer specific support for BAME groups and would like to speak at this event, please contact George or Simone  georgina.beadon@nhs.net or simone.longley@nhs.net

Kind regards

George and Simone
