Fall Proof: Preventing falls and staying well

Local partners across mid and south Essex have come together to focus on how they can better support people to stay healthy and independent. As part of this work, partners in health and care have co-designed lots of useful resources to help prevent falls at home and in the community.

Lyne’s story
Although Lyne used to be very active when she was working, she became less flexible after her retirement, but thanks to local strength and balance classes she is now able to live life to the fall. Lyne, age 67, said she now has a reason to get out of bed in the morning and she finds the classes a great way to meet and socialise with other people, as well as enabling her to increase her core strength and flexibility in a fun and enjoyable way.
