Help your community: Become a volunteer reservist

Your local NHS is looking to for people living in Essex to sign up as a volunteer and help make a difference at one of their local hospitals.

Volunteers are incredibly important to the NHS and make a valuable contribution to the quality-of-care patients’ experience.

There are several different roles are on offer, providing challenging and rewarding opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds.

Roles include (but are not limited to):
• Befriender
• assisting as a mealtime companion
• catering runner or a ward runner
• assisting with administration

Volunteers are asked to commit just four hours a month. Full training is given, and travel expenses are usually covered.
